When people hear the words plant and based together, many assume that means lettuce and limited protein, but guess WHAT? Every plant based food contains protein. Every plant also contains all of the essential amino acids needed to synthesize tissue, just in varying quantities. Legumes, nutritional yeast, tofu, seeds and nuts having the highest. With that said: nuts and nut butters should be considered a fat source that contains protein and not the other way around.
