Yesterday, we put up our tree, baked cookies and had holiday carols playing for hours. We also took some time to start Christmas shopping for CJ. Last year, I did most of his shopping from buybuybaby.com. Since he was only four months old and we were moving California, I just didn’t have the energy for much more than click, click, click. This year, everything has changed! We are in full on toddler mode and he absolutely LOVES his toys. Like, he is so obsessed with his toys that he plays from morning until night. Trucks, balls, books, things that light up and spin. As a mom, I am thankful for how much he loves his toys, because often times, they keep him entertained while I get stuff done.
I turned to buybuy BABY for all things before CJ was born. From his bedroom set, to all of our essentials. Last year, I realized I didn’t even leave my mother-in-laws couch. I simply ordered away for all of the little ones in my life. They have a fantastic selection of toys. Yesterday, we took CJ to the store to have some fun and see what he gravitates to. A 16 month old, in a toy store. Guess what, he gravitates to everything! Cory and I managed to fiddle his list down and made sure we donated to Toys for Tots in the process.
So today, I wanted to share what will be waiting under the tree for little CJ on Christmas morning.
Baby Einstein Magic Touch Xylophone Wooden Musical Toy:My mom had a xylophone in NY last week and he loves it!
Baby Einstein™ Curiosity Table™ Activity Station:Two-sided art and science table full of gadgets to spark baby’s creativity. Appropriate for ages 12-36 months. My nieces have this one and he loved taking the gadgets off and on, which also work on fine motor skills.
Dyson Cord Free Vacuum: When I vacuum CJ HAS to help me. Now, hopefully he will be able to vacuum all on his own while mom uses the real deal.
Little Tykes Easy Score Basketball Set: Mommy wanted the 3 in 1 sports zone, but daddy has an a motive. “Make CJ a basketball player just like me. No other sports allowed.” He keeps hiding the lacrosse stick my brother got him. LOL I do like this one because they can take it outside in the garage and it will grow with him.
Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Soothe and Glow Seahorse in Blue: We are going to pull his binkie soon and I have heard great things about this seahorse. We shall see!
Eric Carle Flash Cards:CJ’s favorite books are by Eric Carle. When we read he just points to things and wants to know what they are. I thought these would be great to have on hand in the car or during some downtime throughout the day.
Stocking stuffers
Books:We picked up a special “I Saw Santa in San Francisco” and a few other books. buybuyBaby has a fantastic selection of books.
Stacking Cups: Fun for the bath or a simply activity.
Butterfly Shape Sorters: He just started to get into putting the shapes in the right place. So we got him a new sorter.
Pajamas: We love Burt’s Bees Organic Cotton Pajamas. We got a few sets of these and they wash extremely well!
So there you have it! This 16 month old is one lucky boy! I think we got a good variety of things he will actually use and this week we will go through his current toys and begin to donate things that he really does not resinate with anymore.
