You know how the old saying goes “April showers bring May flowers”…well with the tiny chill still left in the air in most areas of the country, this is the perfect blanket scarf for day, night and one hundred percent my BFF for travel. I purchased this scarf at LuLu Lemon before the hubby and I embarked on our trip to Barcelona and Paris this past January. Not only did it act as my blanket on the plane and helped me sleep like a baby, but I was able to wear it with only a light T-shirt or Leather Jacket in temperate Barcelona. In Paris and New York it kept me nice and toasty during the freezing weather. The coziness is in all of the different kinds of ways that you are able to drape this beauty around your body. I usually do not spend this kind of money on scarves, and I love ones from Zara and Target, but this piece was worth every penny. So, if you are looking for a timeless item that you can wear most of the year…this is it! Just an FYI, I even wear this bad boy during Miami’s winter nights. It allows the hubby and I to dine al fresco without me shivering in 55 degree weather. Yes folks…I think it’s official…I am a Floridian.
This brings me to T-Shirts. At least thirty percent of my wardrobe consists of T’s of all kinds. Dressy fabrics to plain old Target cotton beauties. You can dress a T-shirt up or down, and today, I am dressing this Zara find up for date night or brunch with the girls. Throw on a pair of jeans and heels and this look is completely transformative. If you live in the warm weather like I do, throw on a lightweight breathable button down or leave the button down and tights in the closet and find a sparkly peter pan collar. A peter pan collar will give you the layered look without the added heat of an extra layer. The perfect preppy warm-weather accessory.
