When I was a little girl my parents told me that I was completely addicted to my “binkie”. One day, my dad got fed up and said “Tay if you don’t use your binkie anymore…I will buy you a new dress”. I proceeded to remove it from my mouth and hand it over…never to be used again. I still love dresses so much! Why? because not only are they a one-stop-shop, but they also helped me beat the heat at the Art Basel kick-off event that took place at Soho House on Miami Beach last weekend. The party was perfect. A tented event right on the beach all lit by candlelight and heart pumping beats.

This lightweight dress is synched at the waist by a belt which makes it even more flattering in person. I have a little styling trick that I have used since college. I take a lightweight elastic headband and stretch it out. From there I place it around my waist, and it pulls the fabric in nice and taught. It allows the dress to hit me at a flattering yet sexy length, but I will tie it naturally for an easy breezy day look.
The jacket is a rose gold play on a Chanel, and was the perfect addition for the ever-changing climate of heat to air conditioning and back to the heat again while “Baseling”. I always have to layer my clothes down here, and I cannot wait to take these booties with me to Europe next month!
