I cannot believe it is already SUMMER! With summer comes travel and we have some on the horizon. West coast to east coast to be exact! Traveling with a bambino brings a whole different set of trials, but buybuy Baby was a huge help and my one-stop-shop to help me us get ready for summer time and our trip across the country. In today’s blog, I am sharing a few things that we picked up to help us beat the heat and keep at grandmas so we don’t have to schlep everything but the kitchen sink.

With that said, these are some things that our wild and crazy, hyper-alert, big time sleeper will need. All kids are so different when it comes to adapting to travel, hotels, airplanes and different environments. If  you have any GO-TO suggestions for traveling with kiddos, I would love to hear from you!

Pack’N’Play Sheet and Accessories: I call CJ “The Prince and the Pea”. He is literally OBSESSED with his crib. So when he ends up in a Pack’N’Play, he is not usually a happy for a night or two. We make sure to stockpile sheets, mobiles and other Pack’N’Play accessories to keep him preoccupied and comfy!

Pool Float: We love pool floats because CJ is extremely calm in them. We both can stay eye level while he kicks and splashes and he stays covered from the sun.

Water Tower:Some days we simply want to beat the heat with summer fun and when CJ has a playdate this water tower keeps them busy for a while. They can splash and play, but won’t get soaked from head to toe.

Comfy Baby Carrier: Our plan is to use a carrier this time around and not worry about checking out stroller as my mom now has one at the house. I have loved this carrier since day one. It has stretch fabric that is comfy for both CJ and I.

Beach Tent: We made the mistake of heading to the beach without a tent last month and we lasted roughly an hour. CJ needs a place to stay in the shade. A place he can still roam and nap if need be so we LOVE this beach tent.

Portable High Chair: Grandma loves this high chair because it does not take up a lot of space and it can be transported from the counter to the clubhouse. It is great for babies of all sizes. We even use ours at home!

Travel Stroller: Schlepping a stroller through the airport and checking it at the gate can be a pain. We sent this one right to grandmas and she has been able to stroll with all the little ones with ease.

Summer Onesies: Who can resist a baby in a tank top? I can’t! CJ runs hot, so these have been on repeat since we got them in the mail.

Portable White Noise Machine: CJ has slept with a white noise machine since we started sleep training him at 6 weeks. We have a few of these. They are pretty powerful and are awesome for stroller naps, long car rides or trips where your big white noise machine is not an option.

UPPAbaby Snack Tray: This has been such a great addition to our UPPAbaby Vista Stroller. I can leave snacks for him while we are out and we have even used it as a high chair at numerous restaurants.

Anyway, we are days away for his first birthday and anxious to get this trip under our belt! Wish us luck and any tips you have for traveling with an infant for six hours, please share below!
