Happy Humpday! I have been able to be home and in my own bed since Saturday! I have to tell you what a glorious feeling it is. I am a homebody, and completely obsessed with having a routine and cooking in my own kitchen [if you couldn’t tell from my Insta stories LOL]. As most of you know, I am a part-time blogger and group fitness trainer and full-time model and wife. I cannot even imagine what life is going to throw at me when we add M-O-M to that list. Cory and I were sitting at dinner last night discussing the whirlwind that is our life. We are constantly two ships crossing in the night, and although we miss each other often, we would not have it any other way. I always say we are “codependantly independent”. We both have our own dreams, goals and aspirations, but at the end of that day, we could not do what we do without the love and support of each other. So thanks boo for allowing me to chase my dreams one certification, photoshoot or day at a time!
I was not expecting to get all sentimental this morning because this post is actually about fashion, but I was thinking about my life as a girl on-the-go [I’m literally writing this post as I get my hair blown out at blo Aventura...thanks Tiffany!]. The last thing I want is for my clothes to slow me down. So, if I am tying to look put together while running around like a crazy person, this is the type of outfit I would choose. Most of what I wear on the regular has an athleisure vibe to it. A great dress and pair of heels are totally my jam, but they have a time and a place! I am not a girl that will have a full face of makeup and six inch stilettos on at the grocery store. I am more of a tights, Nikes, and my hair in a pony gal. Ya dig?
Today’s look is all about transitional style and the ability to move seamlessly from day to night with the simple switch of a shoe [and maybe a bag]. Leather leggings are my go-to for feeling comfortable yet put together. I love these faux ones that I have from Nordstrom. I have friends who invested in Helmut Lang and Rag and Bone leggings and they absolutely rave about them! Seriously, they are H-O-T. You can pair leather leggings with just about any look: sneakers, sandals, chambray. You name it! If there is one timeless investment piece I suggest splurging on: it is leather leggings. If you are vegan or against wearing leather or your bank account does not allow the real deal, there are tons of faux options like these or these!

I love pairing mine with my Nike Juvenate. You have probably seen them all over Instagram for a reason. They are the perfect non-running sneaker. The Juvenate shoe comes in a million different colors and fabrics. They are lightweight and super affordable! Unlike their Air Max counterparts, most Juvenate’s run for under $100.00. A bargain as far as sneakers are concerned! A quick flip of the shoe and this look can easily transition from day to night. I try to step out of my comfort zone, but it can be difficult!
