lululemon has brought athleisure style to the next level, but with their price point comes a certain level of expectation. Everyone has their go-to little black dress, sneakers or pair of leggings that they buy over and over again because not only do they fit great, but they are comfortable, flattering and completely versatile. That is exactly how I feel about lululemon’s Jet Crop. I picked up my first pair of Jet Crops at the lululemon in Aventura while shopping with my sister-in-law and co-creator of StellaValle. At first, I thought the print was crazy, but I picked them up on the sale rack, and the second I put them on the fabric clung in all the right places. I felt comfortable and polished. I quickly realized I could dress them completely sporty or dress them up like I did today and wear them to a meeting. Which I did…and to HSN no less.
Right now lulu has them in stock on their website in black, and some people do say they fade. I have them in three different prints: the ones you see here, green snakeskin and black leopard. Tay Tay is getting cray cray! Not really; the prints are basically black with a little dark green or grey thrown in. These pants are so light and versatile that I have taught barre class in them as well as paired them with a great pair of heels for dinner. I have probably washed each of them over fifteen times and they still look brand new. Just make sure you follow the directions. When in doubt I like to wash my high-end ‘athleisure’ wear on cold in the gentle or hand wash cycle.
As I get older I have begun to invest in pieces that I know will stand the test of time, and these lululemon pants have not done me wrong. I have learned that even though you may have pay a little bit more for better quality, the items will not fall apart on your first wash; and in the long run you really save money.
Now don’t get me wrong…I love pairing high-low items, and it is something I do on the reg! Every other piece on my body except my Tory Burch Tote is from Target. I have tried high-end chambray, but this Mossimo one is butter soft and a little sexy. I will keep you updated it it comes back in stock. Dolce Vita is also killing their collab with Target, and I have two pairs of their booties. These are great for traveling, going to lunch with the girls or the office. Of course, to top it all off I had to throw on my StellaValle for Target baubles.
Spring is right around the corner, and I am sure new prints will be coming out soon. So next time you pass lululemon, pop in and try them on. Let me know what you think!
