When we first moved to the Bay Area we were forced to downsize our home. We had little room left for CJ to play or a space for us to workout. Our oversize furniture no longer worked for the space and we needed an extra bedroom for guests. One day, I was driving down the road and ran into a store called Wall Beds’N’More in San Mateo. It was there that I was introduced to the perfect solution to our needs. A growing family, fitness first and a space comfortable and worthy enough for guests. Upon doing research on Murphy beds I learned a lot. I went to many of the usual home furnishing sites, but the more I read reviews, the more I realized that a Wall Bed should be considered an investment piece for us and our family. A piece of furniture we would have forever.
When I measured our space, we had limited, but beautiful options. We went with the hidden bed which holds a horizontal queen mattress. It also has a floating desk good for this mama who works from home and it takes little to no effort to fold up and put away. The best part is that we can simply keep the bed made and fold it up blanket and all. This makes it a great option to completely use the space all day, every day in numerous ways without the need to make the bed ever evening. Have you ever tried folding up a sofa bed? It is a pain and often times extremely uncomfortable. Creating and putting away our Wall Bed bed can happen in less than ten seconds and no matter where we s end up, this piece will provide us with so much!
The Wall Bed enabled us to:
Have a space to workout:
- We now have room for our Peloton Bike and other fitness equipment.
- We have an open floor plan, and I keep dumbbells and resistance bands in the matching shelving units to up the anti of any workout!
- A Wall Bed would be perfect for an extra bedroom office or studio apartment where you want more room to practice yoga or freely move about.
Have an additional office space:
- Since leaving Miami, we lost our 4th room, a small office space. Since I work from home, I usually end up at the table or bar nook doing work. By choosing the hidden bed, I am able to work and never have to take anything off of the desk. When I want the bed, the desk simply floats down and stays as is.
Play Room:
- Now we have so much more room for all of CJ’s toys. he runs around like a mad man or snuggles on the bed to watch cartoons on a special day. Sometimes we just have to say the bed went “night night” because he always wants to take it down! I know one day him and his friends will use it for sleep overs or to watch movies and it will function as an extension of any space we have.
Guest Room:
- The Wall Bed has helped us also add another “bedroom” to our home. We have an au pair living with us right now and do not have guest room for visitors. Now, we are happy to offer up our room to guests and we do not have to disturb the rest of the house with our 5 AM wake ups.
If you are looking for a timeless piece of furniture to maximize a space and add an extra bedroom to your home, I would suggest considering buying from Wall Beds’N’More.
