Summertime in Florida is hot and muggy. Summertime everywhere else is darn near flawless. Cory and I got back from Napa/Sonoma on Monday, and I am already going through a depression. My family and I used to go out there on a regular basis when I was little, but an eight year old cannot really appreciate all that wine country has to offer. I cannot wait to share our trip with you next week in three installments: Drink, Eat and Play! I have to give a major shoutout to my hubby for surprising me with this trip, as it by far exceeded any expectations I had. I am now due for a major detox, but until then, I will continue to reminisce, until we make it out to the left coast again. If you are thinking about taking a trip, don’t think, just book it, and use reference my guides for all that Napa and Sonoma has to offer.
Last time I was home on Long Island the weather was very similar to how it was in California. Warm, but not hot. Cool, but not chilly. So getting dressed up for an afternoon in the Hamptons last month meant easy-comfort. There is a new boutique that opened up in North, Miami called My Home Fashion Boutique. The buying is extraordinary, and the second you walk through the front door, you are transported to a place of every women’s fantasy. A closet of warm and cool neutrals. Pieces that will stand the test of time, at an affordable price-point. You will find everything you need to update your summer style. This top is by KAIN Label and the skirt is by Talia. Both of which are found at My Home. If you are in the Miami area, it is definitely worth the trip, and make sure you let them know that Taylor sent you!
I have really been embracing a neutral summer palate. Especially while being out in the heat. The peach, cream and greysh tones of this look, are right up my alley, and a departure from my everyday spandex! I have been living in Steve Madden stacked heels in all shapes and styles this summer. I really love how affordable they are, and it makes shopping trends like gladiator and lace up’s very easy. They are having a 50% off summer-style sale right now…so check it out! On a side-note, Summer sweaters are my go-to since I am always freezing, and thankfully everywhere has air-conditioning which makes dealing with the Florida heat a little more bearable. I have linked some of my favorites above. Dressing for summer is definitely a balancing act, but this look can easily transition from day to night or from the office to drinks with the girls. All that is missing here is a little Rosé!
