In my opinion, there are two months out of the year that really have the perfect weather. October when the sounds of after school football fill the air, the crisp leaves fall under your feet, and ‘Pumpkin Spice’ is in full effect everywhere you look. The other is April; although the old saying goes: ‘April Showers Bring May Flowers’, April is usually the bridge month between between winter and summer. The days start to get longer, the birds begin chirping again and daffodils make their way to the surface. The common thread in these two months is that even though the winter jackets can be put away there is still a slight chill in the air that leaves you needing a layer to keep you cozy.
I actually received this Lululemon sweatshirt for Christmas, and it has been my ‘go-to’ pick to keep me warm on flights, and trips to the Northeast ever since. It has a very fitted cut that keeps in flattering instead of bulky, and the high neck and hood give you that cozy all-over feeling. Lulu makes them in every color under the sun, and even makes it in a lighter fabric for warmer months. Although a little pricey at $118.00. I have washed it multiple times and it hasn’t lost its shape, color or looks worn in any way! It really goes to back up the motto I have acquired in my older age….”Quality over Quantity.”
I picked up these track pants at The Restless Soul Shop in Aventura a month or so ago. I love their lightweight fabric and the fact that I can dress them up or down is a total bonus! They pack and travel extremely well without a single wrinkle in sight. They are breathable and have a sexy/sporty-spice vibe to them that I absolutely adore. My only regret is not going a size up. They are a little snug around my mid-section, but they stretch and fit everywhere else perfectly. I am pictured above in a Small. This was my first purchase from the brand, but I know I will be picking up more items soon.
As you know picking up quality athleisure pieces has become kind of a hobby for me. I like to find ways to be both comfortable and stylish, and with these pieces you really cannot go wrong. I did a post of my my favorite track pants this time last year, and not only are track pants still on rotation in my closet, but I do not think they are going out of style anytime soon as there are so many different styles, colors and fabrics available.
I am back in Boston today shooting with Reebok for the second time this week….yes this week. Follow me on Snapchat @TaylorWalkerFit for some fun behind the scenes or my crazy, chaotic life!
